Rossland is thriving. New families, booming trades, and a bustling downtown all point to a community people genuinely want to be part of—and that is a great thing.
I am running to help ensure we sustain this success so that my kids have the same opportunity I had—to raise a family in this incredible town.
WHY I’M RUNNING
Because a town doesn’t thrive by accident
I’ve spent the last seven years working closely city staff, council and the public to build and implement policies that ensure the long-term success of our community.
As a dad I feel a responsibility to do what I can to help ensure the long term success of our community. While my work as the Chair of the Rossland Sustainability Commission has been incredibly rewarding, I believe I can be even more effective on council.
Being an economist by training, an environmental policy analyst by trade and a dad by profession I have built the knowledge, skills and temperament needed to effectively bridge difference perspectives within the community to chart a sustainable path forward for all Rosslanders.

Turn Plans into Action
Our city staff have worked tirelessly with the community to build strong strategies on zoning, infrastructure, recreation, and climate action. We must treat these plans as active guidebooks for real outcomes, not let them wilt on the vine of good intentions.
Grow Intentionally
Rossland is an exceptional place to live, and it's no surprise that more people want to visit and stay. But as demand grows, so does pressure on living costs. We must harness existing policy tools to keep Rossland welcoming to newcomers and home for those already here.
Take Climate Seriously
Shifting weather patterns are already impacting our families and businesses. Reducing emissions and adapting to these changes is not only smart economics; it makes Rossland safer, more affordable, and healthier for us and our children.

Invested in Rossland’s Future
As the father of twin 7 year olds I have a vested interest in ensuring that the current success of Rossland is sustained long into the future. This provides me with the lens needed to view the challenges of today in their larger context, ensuring that any investments decisions are effectively considering their future impact.
Experience collaborating to solve local problems
As Chair of the Rossland Sustainability Commission and Lead of the Climate Action Task Force I have worked directly with city staff, council members, and residents to develop city policy and plans. This work provided me with the opportunity develop and demonstrate the skills needed to build the consensus among neighbours needed to find construction solutions.
Economic & Public Policy Expertise
With an education in economics and professional experience in public policy, I bring a sharp analytical filter to the table. I know how to evaluate complex municipal budgets, digest dense staff reports, and balance fiscal responsibility with sustainability to ensure our tax dollars are spent efficiently.
